There are new things happening at Tribe. And more new things I can't tell you about that are coming around the corner. For starters, Claire Jacquez will be teaching a gentle yoga class on Tuesday mornings at 9:30.
Claire is a native New Mexican and has spent the greater part of her life in Santa Fe. She began her yoga practice in 2012 and became a certified Prajna Yoga Instructor in 2018. Claire focuses on teaching from the ground up; she believes having a good foundation is essential in yoga and in life. Claire offers an all level class that is dynamic and healing on a cellular level. She gives time and space for breath work and emphasizes moving safely in and out of poses, using support for optimal effects.
Next, Debbie DeSimone is a certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner that will be leading a five week detox, Saturdays from January 5th to February 2nd from 11:30 - 1:00. Participants are welcome to take the Saturday morning Vinyasa flow at a discounted price of $10 as well. I took Debbie's class and really enjoyed our group meetings. This is so much more than a detox. You get support from Debbie and the group as you all embark on this journey together. More impactful for me was learning about why certain foods may be harmful and how to detect when your body is telling you it doesn't like what you're eating. There are immediate symptoms your body gives you when you have a food sensitivity. Learning about how to detect sensitivities, then modify your diet immediately effects energy, clarity and focus. Minimum participation required, please sign up by January 3rd:
Detox with Debbie De Simone
Saturdays, 1/5 - 2/2
11:30 - 1:00pm
This Wednesday, January 2nd, our schedule kicks back into gear with a 6am class open to all (come and see if you like the 6am before signing up for the next session), 9:30am with Kristin Allen and 5:30pm Vinyasa flow with guest instructor Heather Quinn. A bit about Heather:
Heather has believed in the ability in yoga to transform lives from her first class at a Aiki Jiu Jitsu Dojo in Boston on September 11th, 2001. Even in the midst of overwhelming tragedy yoga provided her solace, providing mental space to process the loss and physical peace from the rigors of martial arts training. She believes strongly that yoga meets you where you are at, as long as you are willing to bring your life to the mat on good and bad days. Teaching yoga is a source of immense joy for Heather.
Our next Six Am session begins January 7th. This series is $120 and includes unlimited yoga classes for the entire six weeks so if you make it on the weekend or in the evening - you're covered.
Our next writing workshop begins Thursday, January 10th and will continue for five weeks. $125 Pre-registration required.
And while our pricing was $88 per month for unlimited, we are going to continue to offer a low price package of just $50. I loved having new faces in class so we're holding at $50. Thank you for being a part of our studio. Go here for our schedule and registration.
Monica Hernandez continues to teach Prajna Kriya Yoga on Thursday evenings at 7pm.
Pound with Samantha Mortimer is still rocking out on Saturdays at 8am. This unique class combines drumming (on yoga mats) to masterful choreography to create a low impact, high cardio rock out session. Mats and drum sticks will be provided. Just show up. $10 or purchase a package of 9 for $75 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
